About Us

Diwaliben Trust is a charitable, non profit organization which promotes Education, Health and Community Development. The DUPST is registered with Rg. No. E/4959 Surat under Bombay Public Charitable Act of 1950 on 20th September 2001.

Diwaliben Trust (DT) is a 24 -year-old organization that works across a broad swathe of sectors encompassing Education, Healthcare and Livelihood interventions. With a budget of INR 6.5 crores (2024-25), it conducts more than two dozen programs and activities. All the initiatives by the organization are currently unified by a common focus on the needs of tribal communities in poverty in Southern Gujarat.

Diwaliben Trust (DT) was founded in 2001 by by entrepreneur and philanthropist, BU Patel. BU grew up in a small village in Gujarat, India, w here he worked as a farmer and put himself through college before relocating his family to Zambia in search of eco no mic opportunity. B U eventually settled in the United States, and it ’s w here three generations of the Tarsadia family reside today.

This Trust was founded in loving memory of my revered mother, Late. Diwaliben Ukabhai Patel, whose life embodied selfless service, compassion, and strength. It was her values and vision that inspired the creation of this organization — to serve the underserved and uplift our society through education, health, and social welfare.

Over the years, the Trust has grown into a platform for positive change, and I am truly grateful to all the trustees, volunteers, supporters, and community members who have walked alongside us on this journey. Your dedication and belief in our mission have been the driving force behind every achievement.
